ARTWAVE introduces choreographers and dancers of the next generation through Movers’ Platform, held along with the choreographer, Hiroaki Umeda. This platform brings together the movers (dancers) with unique movements as a representation of diversity and richness of contemporary societies, and explores the contemporary physicality beyond genres of dance. Inspired by the idea of “Swarm Intelligence”, this project creates the swarm of individuality. Movers’ Platform is one proposal towards the dance and choreography coming generations in Asia, where we have diverse cultures.
